• The Club

Located in the heart of the beautiful Annapolis Valley, KenWo Golf Club was formed in 1921. This member-owned course has been welcoming guests to its championship location for years and continues to be recognized as one of the friendliest places to play in the Maritimes. Being one of the oldest clubs in Nova Scotia, KenWo boasts a challenging 18-hole layout over 6,300 yards. In recent years, the club has played host to the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship, recognizing its reputation as a challenging course. Each season KenWo hosts the annual Apple Blossom Invitational in May, a tournament that attracts several of the Provinces top male amateurs. KenWo has a course rating of 69.9 and a slope of 127 from the Blue tees. The Club also provides a fully stocked Pro Shop, three practice putting and chipping greens, a driving range, as well as power cart and club rentals.

The Club is led by PGA of Canada Director of Golf and Operations, Mr. Rene MacKay. Assisting the Director of Golf in the day-to-day operations are his management team including Administrative Assistant; Brandy Martin, along with his PGA of Canada Professional Staff, Course Superintendent and Food & Beverage team led by F & B Manager Deb Barclay. 

The fully stocked Pro-Shop and Golf Operations Department is led by PGA of Canada Head Professional, Derek MacKinnon, along with PGA of Canada Associate Professionals, Laura Reid, Jordan Milne and Ryan Trimper. A multitude of services and offerings are available through the Golf Operations department, including equipment, club fitting and instruction.

The immaculately groomed and tree-lined traditional layout is maintained by Golf Course Superintendent, Rick Phelan and his Assistant Brian Bartkow. The original course consisted of 6-holes in 1921 and by 1924, a 9-hole course was in operation. KenWo grew to an 18-hole course in 1964 and now plays host to approximately 40,000 rounds annually.

The full service and fully air-conditioned clubhouse, including our recently renovated and newly furnished Dining Room and Bar as well as "The Turn" Canteen located on the ground floor, is led by our friendly Food & Beverage Team. Either before or following your round, we encourage our members and guests to visit the clubhouse to enjoy a delicious well-priced meal in our comfortable dining room or a cold beverage while relaxing in the club's lounge and bar area.
